DESCRIPTION:Remix will be going to Youth Convention 2023 on November 3-4. This is a great opportunity for students to grow closer with the Lord and with other students. \nWhen: We will be leaving from the SHC on Friday\, November 3rd at 3pm and arriving back at the church around 9:30pm on Saturday\, November 4th. (We will let parents know eta on the way home) \nWhere: Youth Convention is at Grand Rapids First church\, but we will be staying overnight at New Life Church in Grand Ledge\, MI. note: There are no showers at New Life church so students will need any necessary toiletries to keep as fresh as possible. Students will also need an air mattress/cot\, pillow\, and blanket/sleeping bag for their stay. \nCost: $115 This includes 2 meals\, an overnight stay\, and the entry ticket at the event. Your student will need to bring money for 2 meals\, a late-night Meijer run\, and money for any merch wanted at the event. \nDeadline to sign up is November 2nd.

Wednesday night Youth Services.\nLocation: Meet at Freedom Christian Sterling Heights Campus\nLeaders Teaching: Pastor Josiah and Bre Harris \nHere is an overview of the teaching schedule\, and what will be covered. \n\nWeek 1 – (March 8)\n\nReal Relationship: Exploring why and how we were created for relationship with God and others. \n\nWeek 2 – (March 15)\n\n Real Friends: Valuable: why who you choose is important \n\nWeek 3 – (March 22)\n\nReal Love: what is love\, really? \n\nWeek 4 – (March 29)\n\nDating Pt. 1: Guys and Girls: we are created differently but equally. \n\nWeek 5 – (April 5)\n\nDating Pt. 2: Singleness\, Dating\, and Boundaries; the purpose\, plan\, and history of dating. \n\nWeek 6 – (April 12)\n\nMarriage and Sex: Marriage is not the dating finish line. The truth about dating\, marriage\, and sex. \nIf you are uncomfortable with your student engaging with some of these topics and teachings\, you may choose to have your student NOT attend Youth Service on any week. However\, please sign this permission slip for the entire series even if they will not be attending for certain weeks. \nThis form must be signed and turned in by March 15\, 2023.
