Many today use the “open/closed” door approach in determining God’s will. They believe, “if it is God’s will, then the door will open, and if it is not God’s will the door will close.” The problem with this approach is that it allows circumstances to determine God’s will for our circumstances.
The apostle James however tells us that “the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Could it be possible that we are to understand God’s will and then steward His will into reality through prayer and intercession?
